Nacho Sampler Promo

Let The Speculation Begin

You’ll be hearing lots of talk about this one, I’m sure.

A new intersect??? Sarah obviously on a seduction mission? It can’t be that simple, can it?

Naw!!! Chuck gets his own asset to handle. And Angst? Plenty of it. But it’s between Ellie and Awesome.

Chuck tries to balance his two very different lives as he trains a new Nerd Herder, Hannah, and gets his own asset. He thinks he can handle his asset on his own, but Sarah and Casey believe that they need to help Chuck. Meanwhile, Awesome lies to Ellie when she starts asking about Chuck and Morgan; and Jeff and Lester do some searching on Hannah.

Am I getting ahead of myself? You betcha!

Will there be a Chuck vs. First Class American edition? Or should I just post my thoughts on the epi on the Canadian one?

Also per Nacho Sampler…I think the mark thing is something we’ve seen before so I doubt Chuck would get all hung up on that…no angst there. The Hannah thing? Well that’s another matter.

Chuck out the new, improved, Canadian & US edition, Faith!

    • Erin says:

Now that the Three Words have been put out there, I think it’ll reset Chuck’s understanding of Sarah being physical with another guy. Sure, he may try to be more mature about it because now he’s actually a spy, but we’ll probably still get a couple of nice close-ups showing his displeasure.

      • atcdave says:

I’m thinking this, and Sarah’s encounter with Shaw, will lead to the Fake Name (3.08) becoming important. Again, pure speculation, but I’m thinking Sarah telling Chuck her real name will be her way of proving she has real feelings for Chuck, as opposed to all the cover/mission situations where she’s been someone else.

A new Intersect? I smell cartilage fleshed fish and salt water.

    • weaselone says:

I mean honestly, we go from season one where nobody even conceived that an entire Intersect could be downloaded into a human brain, a position reiterated by Perseus to Fulcrum and the CIA attempting to Intersect large groups to random computer geeks designing and downloading Intersects?

      • weaselone says:

Nevermind. Looking at the preview a couple of more times, it looks like the skill is provided directly through the glasses, not directly implanted in the brain and brought forth by a flash.

      • joe says:

Damn that Moore’s law! I’m still trying to understand DOS and Windows 3.2, and they’re onto Windows 7 already???

      • weaselone says:

I don’t think Moore’s law applies to the human brain.

    • Ernie Davis says:

I smell cartilage fleshed fish and salt water.

Sadly Weaselone that was my reaction too.

      • weaselone says:

Actually, I feel somewhat better after seeing the Canadian promo. The episode looks great, although I still think they tread dangerous waters here. It’s obvious there’s no permanent uploading going on here, but we’re going to dangerous territory by making physical skills flashes accessible to every John, Dick and Larry provide they’re wearing the right glasses.

    • herder says:

I think this will be a funny, more stand alone episode than First Class, more like the Awesome episodes. The way I see the season going is as follows : two episodes of reset (one and two), two of fun and family (the awesome episodes), set up for the big arcs (First Class), a break with some arc (the Natcho Sampler), the angsty stuff (two episodes), then the big finish – spy stuff until the happy ending (9 through 13).

      • atcdave says:

I think you may be right. I’m also thinking things should turn for the better in 3.08. The trick is how we get there.

  3. weaselone says:

I’m curious as to what everyone thinks about Sarah’s need to intervene in Chuck’s mission and immediately employ the honey trap.

    • herder says:

I think she is threatened by Hannah, tries to make Chuck jealous, but it backfires and puts him off, pushing him to Hannah.

    • joe says:

I have to expand on this theme soon, Weaselone. They certainly put it in our face that Sarah is being very overprotective.

Ellie did a pretty good job being Chuck’s mother. Does he still need one? I don’t think so. He needs a partner.

Sarah just buried her first partner.

      • kg says:

Maybe in a strange way, Chuck gets it by not carrying a gun.

While Bryce was skilled, he ultimately bought it by trying to shoot his way out of every situation. Even the best gunslingers eventually die by the hands of a gun.

While I admit Chuck has benefitted from others wielding firearms on his behalf, his gregarious nature and clever thinking on his feet have allowed him and his partners to escape perilous situations.

  4. lou federico says:

Does anybody else see an Intersect VS Intersect battle between Chuck and His asset. It would be epic until a roundkick knocked off the assest’s glasses

  5. herder says:

So with Lou, Sarah went into stalker mode, following him on his date/mission and sort of threatening Lou when telling her “he’s a great guy…no thats a fact”. With Jill she dressed up in the hooker outfit for the first meeting and at the end of the Fat Lady she told her “don’t hurt him again…it’s my job to protect him – from anything”.

From the looks of the promos this time she tries to make Chuck jealous, and if she is going to speak to Hannah, this may be the episode as it looks like there is no Shaw to stop her. The part that I’m looking forward to are the Casey comments as he usually gives Sarah the hardest time when she is in stalker mode.

  6. Lucian says:

I hope we don’t get a bunch of jealousy angst. That is really juvenile, and beneath both Chuck and Sarah. One would hope they are past that point.

  7. Gord says:

I’m thinking that we will find out there is a serious flaw in the device. Perhaps long term exposure causes brain damage or maybe the circuitry fries out after only a few uses.

It can’t be that easy to replace Chuck.
