Chuck, being sort of kind of a family show doesn’t always play the skin game with the rest of Hollywood, but with attractive leads and guest stars they can certainly raise the temperature every so often. Pick your favorite gratuitous bit of exploitation after the jump.

Yes, yes, I probably should have included screencaps. 😉 Unfortunately I did this from work over coffee and didn’t want to be downloading and editing pictures of women in bikinis and lingerie. Or of shirtless guys for that matter.

I voted for this too… but because i thought it was gratuitous use of semi-naked hot chics!

As for exploitation of the fairer sex. Something about Sarah angry and exercise gear makes my heart beat a little faster than Sarah in random skimpy outfit, so I’m going to go with none of the above and select “Sarah beating Chuck down with a stick in Three Words.”
Well if we had to include all the scenes where Sarah makes guys hearts beat a bit faster it’d be a loooonnnng list, so I limited it to the obvious traditional methods of exploitation.
As to your other point, I still really like Sarah at the heavy bag in Cougars. 🙂
Hey. Let’s limit things to this season, shall we? I didn’t bring up the scene in De Lorean where she’s working out some daddy issues.
I was agreeing in principle that Sarah in workout gear beating on someone or something does have it’s own merits. Unfortunately Chuck seems to be the only thing she takes her anger out on this past season. Less fun to me, but still a good scene.
My personal favorite is Sarah as Nerd Herder. I’m hoping they come up with an excuse to do that cover again.
Oh yes!! Can’t believe I didn’t mention that one. A Nerd Herder never looked so fine as at that moment.

I suspected as much, but I still like my choice better than Chuck being beaten with a stick by the love of his life. I preferred when Sarah took a more hands on approach to beating up Chuck in Helicopter.
Although now that I think of it Sarah in the nurses outfit beating up the two guards…

Yeah, and that moment with the pencil in Cougars: “You got that?” revealed a whole new scary side of Sarah that was, really, sexy as hell…

My vote is for a scene coming up. I think Sarah in love and in a nightie will top this list.

For the -ahem- hotest Sarah outfits so far this season it is between the Nurse’s uniform in Angel del Muerte and the short unitard in the Mask.
Are you excluding dresses and business attire?
As I said, the list would be far too long so I limited it to this season and the more traditional definition of exploitation = as much skin as possible for the purpose of the polls, but hey, feel free to opine to your heart’s content.
I personally think it’ll be a wonderful moment when Sarah moves in and Chuck finds her old Nerd Herd and/or Weinerliscious uniform(s) in her side of the closet. Epic comedy if Morgan (or Casey) walks in while she’s trying one of them on. Better yet Beckman turns on the video conference.
The nurse’s uniform is a fantasy thing, sort of like the nerdherder’s uniform from Tom Sawyer (and for my vote, cute as Kristen Kreuk was as a nerdherder, Yvonne wins hands down). I mentioned the short unitard because it seemed to fit with the workout stuff others were mentioning. That and I just like to get the mental image of those things in my head.
You guys are going wild with this one 😉 I don’t blame you, Yvonne is a hot girl and oh how they like to show it in the show! She looks awesome in everything!
I vote for Chuck in Final Exam cause i have a total celebrity-crush on Zac.
I’m impressed that Zach is hanging right in there with Awesome in the Pecsploitation poll. I guess that means you ladies don’t mind a hairy chest, but prefer the lean normal guys over bodybuilder types. Or you just all hate Shaw and can’t remember Javier.
I am most impressed with how in shape those guys can remain while working those ridiculous hours on the show.

Javier, not attractive to me. I don’t find Routh attractive.. i don’t need all that muscle. Awesome is a good looking guy, but not my type. Unfortunately, Zac is too much my type… Dang it! I’ve always liked the tall, lanky guy with the brains and sense of humor. Plus, he is hot 😉
I thinkt working out is part of their jobs. Having a hot body is a big hollywood requirement.

The hair, make-up, and wardrobe people just love dressing up Yvonne. She is like their own personal Barbie Doll.
But yeah you do not really have to exploit her. She looks amazing in everything. She looks great even when she is dirty and bloody and is wearing something like that wife beater in Tic-Tac. Yvonne just being present is fanservice enough, but that just might be me since I have a total celebrity-crush on her.
I can’t blame you with Zach, the guy is almost as endearing as his character.
Yvonne looked amazing in S1 and S2, I m afraid she caught the hollywood waif bug this season though, there were some pictures of her from a couple of weeks ago doing some promo in LV and they made me sad http://bit.ly/cZQp76 😦
Both her and Zac got skinnier for this season. I thik they looked just fine before.
Yeah she is really skinny now. My main fear is things like plastic surgery, fake boobs, and all the rest of that stuff that indicates an actress is has been totally um…Hollywooded.
Anyway, I have always been a fan of curvy women so I was never a big fan of her body. Yvonne’s appeal to me has always been her personality and the way she expresses herself using her face and voice.
Jen – Zac also got tan between seasons. I remember speculating that the sun must shine alot more in Prague than one would think.
Maybe tanning salons are all the rage in Prague. Could be??
Yeah, John.. she seems like a great girl. In every interview i’ve seen her she conducts herself so well, plus.. she’s got all that talent. She always blows me away with her performances. Maybe i don’t knwo a lot about acting or actors, but i’ve never seen another actor be able to express so much with her face and voice and she does.
In the scene in the hotel room, the moment where she is remembering what happened at the cafe, on the bridge, as she remembers Chuck shot Shaw… she goes through so many changes in her voice, on her face. She’s amazing.
The fact she is so talented that sometimes you have a hard time believing she is only acting and not really feeling whatever she is projecting makes it even more adorable when she slips up and loses her accent for a moment or two.
I think what makes her appealing is she just projects whatever emotion she is feeling so well I feel it to. When she is acting sad I feel sad. I think part of the reason I made the transition to being a shipper this season is just because I really wanted Yvonne to act happy again. Her acting sad was just really bumming me out.
I hope she continues to get work even after she ages out of being Ms. Fanservice.
Anyway I should probably stop. Squeeing on this level is just unbecoming for a man of my age and marital status.

Of course! I think Zac is awesome, if there was an actor from the show I would like to sit down with and talk to about acting or the show or Modern Warfare 2 it would be him.

I have posted a large picture of her smack dab in the middle of my Fantasy Baseball League site and naturally the league is titled Yvonne Strahotski.
I also have a smaller image of her used as a team logo. The name of the team is Saving Sarah Walker.
If you think Yvonne has gone waifish, I recommend a review of the Mask, specifically the scene where she and Chuck are trying obtain the mask. She has definitely lost weight, but I suspect that was a combination of the high level of fitness she entered the season with and the grueling shooting schedule. It looks like she managed to gain a little back over the shooting hiatus.
You are right… she’s gotten leaner.

Definaltly Sarah and Carina in the 3 words. The song choice was very appropriate for that scene.
You know, as I was thinking of “hotness” I thought back to Seduction. I just thought Strahovski looked fabulous throughout the episode. And she never had to take off her clothes…
But as I was screening the episode, something struck me. It was FUN. It reminded me why I fell in love with this show and these characters. There wasn’t a single episode this season when I felt I had fun watching. Even Other Guy was a matter of relief that, finally, the arc was over.
Can we got back to fun. Please…
I’m not voting – and I’ll tell you why. You can’t “break down” Sarah/Yvonne into categories of beauty based on what she is (or isn’t wearing). She was gifted with such physical beauty that she looks magnificent in ANYTHING.
Truthfully, she’ll look “hottest” (can I say that?) in a beautiful wedding gown being walked down the aisle by her ever-elusive father, Jack Burton! There’s nothing more beautiful than a bride walking down the aisle (trust me, I know what I’m talking about here).
But as far as other votes, we’ve only got two days left – even if it doesn’t matter much apart from claiming “victory” – to vote in the SAVE ONE SHOW poll on eonline.com. O.K., despite what I just said – and which I meant sincerely, I’m going to “go with the spirit of this thread,” and make a further remark.
I don’t know whether or not Yvonne/Sarah has appeared this (or in a similar way) on CHUCK, but if she hasn’t, then it’s long overdue (and if she has, someone please remind me of which season/episode so I can go back and check it out).
The “hot” look is this. Not in a bikini. Not in lingerie. Not in underwear. Not in anything “skimpy,” but simply in this:
Worn out (but not too worn out or torn up) jeans. A nice “ladies type tank top” (with either a Bears or Colts logo) – and – the piece of attire that makes this look the HOTTEST of all – a tied up pony tail pulled through the back opening of a baseball cap (preferably a CUBS cap).
THAT, my friends (both male and female out there), is the “hottest” look that a woman could have.
(I’ll still say the most beautiful is walking down the aisle in a wedding gown, but since this thread is aiming for “hot” then I’ll give you HOT!).
HOT is about “the look,” not about how much skin is being shown. And the jeans, tank top, and baseball hat with pony tail pulled through the hole in the back of the cap takes the prize!

Come on Rick. This is about ranking the gratuitous exploitation scenes, not necessarily selecting the “hottest” the characters have looked this season. If we went that route, I’d probably have to select Sarah haloed in sunlight at the end of “other guy” and Zach presiding over the family dinner at the end of “operation awesome”.

chuck may be a family show, but I don’t know if i have watched a show more obviously playing the skin game, esp early season 3 with awesome working out and sarah being sarah. For some reason, that manoosh sarah tranc gun scene 3.6 was the farthest I thought they took it, but the pool in 3.1 reminded me of bo derek’s famous scene. For my money, I think sarah looks fashion model gorgeous in a one second shot in the promo for 3.14 and on, but it is not sexploitive, it is the shot of just her wearing the hi button beige jacket – it is a shot of her alone – her head and shoulders, thought she looks as radiant as one can – guess we all have different tastes.
my scene was 9 seconds into the back 6 promo, I think Ellie is way underutilized in this show, although from the promo, maybe in the back 6 she will become relevant, I think a scene of her and sarah having a carina – sarah ep 3.2 conversation in 3.19 prior to a wedding might make lots of folks list of provocative chuck moments?
Bring on the bachelorette party! Sarah, Ellie, Carina, and Anna. Sarah really doesn’t have many friends, so that would probably be it, unless we throw in some random Bartowski cousins or find out that Sarah does, in fact, have a sister.
I’m waiting for a hot and steamy C/S scene where we could see them expressing that their crazy in love with each other and therefore at their best. 😉
