Ready To Rumble?

The New Action Hero

You can’t have an action spy story without some awesome fight sequences.  When I first got hooked on Chuck it really hit me how well choreographed the fight scenes were, and how they always liked to add a unique twist, like Sarah in the Weinerliscious uniform using corn dog skewers to take out Casey’s gun hand.  This season had its share of fun fights, with Chuck now part of the action.  Vote for your favorites after the jump.

First up our favorite nerd turned spy learns to throw down this season.  Which do you think was his best?  OK, you can narrow it to three.

With Shaw and Chuck in on the action, and an unplanned leave of absence, Casey was pushed to the side a bit.  He still had a few moments to shine however.  Unleash your inner Casey and vote for your two favorites.

Everyone loves a good Sarah smackdown.  Unfortunately Chuck was on the receiving end of a couple this year, but hey, all’s well that ends well.  Pick your top two below.

And two special requests categories.  Sorry, only one choice for each.  First up is the one hit wonders.

And finally we get to best beatdown with a stick.

About Ernie Davis

I was born in 1998, the illegitimate brain child and pen name of a surly and reclusive misanthrope with a penchant for anonymity. My offline alter ego is a convicted bibliophile and causes rampant pognophobia whenever he goes out in public. He wants to be James Lileks when he grows up or Dave Barry if he doesn’t.  His hobbies are mopery, curling and watching and writing about Chuck.  Obsessively.  Really, the dude needs serious help.

Tic Tac was pretty cool from action point of view. Casey vs. Colonel Keller, Sarah in 1 against 5, and Chuck with the pill. The three scenes kicked ass.

Apparently much love the the little bearded man.

Hey Gang. IT’s OFFICIAL. With more than 50% – yes, more than 1/2 of all the votes cast for all the different shows, CHUCK won the Eonline “SAVE ONE SHOW” poll in a landslide!

Our one little show pulled in more than half the votes, leaving the other 5 to divy up the other less than half.

Congratulations, all. Let’s hope for some better demo numbers when the back six begin on April 26th.

    Happy Monday, all. And PEACE!!!

crap this reminds me I promised you the songs Ernie, I’ll get on it sometime this week 🙂

I get the feeling the best offensive weapon (aside from Shaw and the gun) will be Chuck using Sarah as a helicopter, kick thingy. Awe-some!

Also what episode is it where Sarah fights Angie Harmon? Don’t think I saw it in the list, pretty damn epic lol.

I’ll admit that I thought that Chuck taking on baddies in physical fights would be a little silly, but Zachary Levi and the stuntmen have done a really good job with Chuck’s fight scenes this season, so kudos to them for that.

On the subject of unleashing the Casey, it’s fun to see, but I hope that they don’t turn Casey into some sort of deus ex machina plot device where Chuck and Sarah get into an impossible situation every episode and Casey has to save their butts. It was a little silly in “Fake Name” (but I bought it because Casey was shown to be a good shot at the start of the episode). However, the whole “Casey shot the mole” situation in “Final Exam” was absolutely ludicrous. I really don’t want the show to go down that road again. That being said, Casey fighting the poisoner with a syringe stuck in his thigh reached unprecedented levels of awesomeness.

I wasn’t a huge fan of “Mask,” but I’ll say this (and I apologize for the capital letters): HOLY CRAP! SARAH RAN ALONG A WALL…SIDEWAYS! Fight scenes don’t get much more ridiculously awesome than that.

And finally, on the subject of beatdowns, Chuck accidentally injuring people will never stop being funny.

The Sarah fight scene in Mask is one of the best. I agree! That whole sequence with Sarah and Chuck hanging upside down, trying to get the mask was awesome. The last few minutes of the ep… DEATH!

IMO when you watch the previous seasons of Chuck, Chuck is just a guy with this thing in his head, but in this 3rd season, chuck no longer needs handlers, he now has team members. Maybe we should have a poll of when Chuck became a spy. My personal feeling is when he had to carry Shaw out of the building in Greatest American Hero
