What Would You Do To Save Chuck?

What Would Chuck Do?

I’m having an odd reaction to Chuck vs The Honeymooners. I don’t feel like writing about it. I just want to marinate in the wonderfulness of the episode getting back to what I see as the roots of the show, a fun, mostly lighthearted romp with some cool fight scenes and a bit of heartwarming romance and friendship tossed in the mix. OK, so maybe a lot more romance than we’re used to, but it worked for me.  I think it worked for a lot of us.  So I’m in the odd position of having nothing to say, no desire to break down every scene or parse Yvonne’s subtle changes of expression or Casey’s grunts, or dwell on the limited miscommunication angst.  I just want the next episode, and another season.  The ratings showed a slight uptic, we added another 200,000 viewers, and the buzz is that Chuck is looking better for a fourth season.  I want that fourth season.  Let’s discuss after the jump.

Not what your normal fan would do.  Buying subs by the bag, blogging, flashmobs, hunting down and physically forcing Neilsen families to watch… OK, maybe not the last one, but you get my point.  Chuck fans are a committed bunch.  Some say we should be committed, that’s another argument.  We’ve won just about every online poll and competition because we mobilize well, through this and many other fansites.  It all makes us hopeful that we can influence the decision makers at NBC and WB, but unfortunately, some of this is out of our hands.  Some of this is left to the professionals.  Namely how much does it cost to make the show, and who can you get to pay for it?

TPTB have shown some creative thinking on this front IMHO.  The Subway deal, product placement, pushing DC comics (a WB property) and cutting deals with Honda for Olympics commercials staring Chuckcast members (and probably also offsetting some of those cast members lost income from being cut back on episodes), the more revenue Chuck can raise outside NBC fees, the better chance we have for a new season and a better budget.  Can we get back to s2 territory?  I don’t know, but trying doesn’t hurt.

So here’s my challenge to the most committed, clever, intelligent, and creative fans on the net.  Joe has a fantasy that Schwartz and Fedak read this blog.  Let’s indulge that fantasy and assume they do.  What’s your idea on how to fund Chuck and bring it back for another well funded 22 episode season?  License a Chuck videogame?  Spinoff shows for Jeffster or Casey and Morgan as buddy detectives that can be filmed at the same time and given to NBC as a free 1/2 hour comedies?  Let’s throw some ideas around just for fun.  Who knows, somebody might just come up with the idea that saves Chuck.  It’s happened before.

As always lets keep it clean and civil, and let’s try not to dwell on what’s past and can’t be fixed now.  Thanks and have fun.

About Ernie Davis

I was born in 1998, the illegitimate brain child and pen name of a surly and reclusive misanthrope with a penchant for anonymity. My offline alter ego is a convicted bibliophile and causes rampant pognophobia whenever he goes out in public. He wants to be James Lileks when he grows up or Dave Barry if he doesn’t.  His hobbies are mopery, curling and watching and writing about Chuck.  Obsessively.  Really, the dude needs serious help.

This probably wouldn’t work, but indulge me a mo. If you followed a teamsport of some sort, you might purchase a season ticket.

Now if say there was such a thing on offer for Chuck at say $20 for the season. 1 million viewers sign up, then you’ve got a $20 million budget available for the season, and you wouldn’t have to cut actors, etc..

As I say, it probably wouldn’t fly, but then again you hear of similar things in independent film making

    • Ernie Davis says:

It is the kind of thing that sounds wonderful, but would be tough to pull off. Me, I’d sign up in a second. This is why HBO and Showtime are producing some of the best scripted drama on TV right now. And I think with DVRs, Hulu, iTunes and Netflix the studios are going to have to start thinking along similar lines rather than rely on networks and Neilsen’s to fund their shows.

    • Jen says:

I think this is a great idea. $20 is not much to ask from anyone and i’m sure all serious Chuck fans would gladly contribute. Now, the question is… who do you convince to launch something like this?

    • atcdave says:

It is an interesting thought for a new business model; viewer sponsorship of individual shows. I wonder if we could go anywhere with that.

      • Ernie Davis says:

Clearly this is the simplest solution for established shows, but the possibilities for fraud and lawsuits would be endless. How long would it have taken some lawyer this season to form a class action suit composed of 400,000 disgruntled Chuck fans who felt they’d been cheated. How do we make sure the 20 million is all going into production and a decent profit for the show rather than propping up some other money losing WB property?

It is a new era and the old models aren’t going to keep working. The first people to figure this out are gonna make a bundle.

      • atcdave says:

Yeah, I think you’re right about an S3 lawsuit! Obviously premium cable channels, pay-per-view, and even PBS do this a little; but its hard to direct your support apart from just telling them which shows you like. And there are internet projects that are almost as good as some regular programming (compared to basic cable anyway, ever see Star Trek Phase II?); so that’s yet another possibility.

I saw a survey a year or so ago indicating Chuck fans were among the best educated and wealthiest in broadcast television, there ought to be some way of making that an advantage.

      • Ernie Davis says:

I keep thinking the same thing, which is why I started this post. If nothing else some enterprising producer or larger website should get some demographics on us. My guess is we’re a demographic wet dream to advertisers. Then find a way to engage us and the advertisers similar to the way with Subway, or go back to the 1950’s and have a single sponsor fund the entire show by buying the network time. I keep thinking Chuck could be on the cutting edge of a new model for TV.

      • ChuckNewbie8 says:

Demographics? Here’s on from the NBC boards.

      • Ernie Davis says:

Yes, but to make it really exciting they need to ask about income, education level, all the juicy stuff.

      • Stef62 says:

Another way to look at it is from the perspective of a magazine/comic subscription.

If you don’t like the direction that its creators are taking, you let the subscription lapse.

So would the TnC’s of a magazine not cover any litigation issued

      • atcdave says:

Stef, I’m sure that’s how it would have to work; but nothing is currently in place for something like that. On second thought….. there is iTunes, I only buy the episodes I like, that could be a starting point.

    • Jason says:

jen – I thought the same thing, a $20 internet pledge would not be that hard to procure from chuck fans – my other thought thought was “who gets creative control?” – the small guy who funds the show or the evil powers that be? just joking, but seriously, once the fans were the ‘bank’, I think they might get even grumpier about the story directions, as in more upset than this season. The whole notion of fan pleasing story lines vs ‘epic mythoology’ is probably for the literary scholars, but I find this season’s story debate to be intriguing – my obvious ? – why would a bubble show write a story they know a large % of the fan base would not enjoy for near 100% of a then 13 episode season??? odd to say the least????

      • Ernie Davis says:

Now that I think of it, didn’t David Bowie essentially take his career public? Selling shares of his next project to fund it? That could be a model.

      • atcdave says:

As I said months ago, there is a long tradition of patrons supporting the arts; but dang, people thought we were an entitled fan base before, that could really be a problem.

    • Waverly says:

      Pre-sell the season DVD/Blue-Ray sets.

      • atcdave says:

You know my concern with that; for the S2 discs there were different editions, and pre-order I got from Amazon, was not the edition I would have otherwise bought (Third Dimension was not in 3D; of course, I bought another set to fix the problem, but I was pretty annoyed with Amazon).

  2. weaselone says:

Well, one of the things they could do is actually create a website that listed the various items of clothing, cookware, electronics, etc. featured on Chuck with links to the supplier so they could be purchased, or even better have the ability to purchase them directly off the site. This is not my idea, I’ve seen it suggested by other Chuck fans at various points. The goal is to make the transition from product placement to product purchase less ponderous.

I have to say, and I think I’m not alone here that the Chuck merchandise is less than stellar overall. Before the past season, everything was nerd herd related and although they listened and provided shirts that utilized the word “Chuck”, they just don’t seem quite as visually appealing as the black nerd herd tee. “Chuck Me” is a great slogan, but the goofy print of Chuck detracts from it. NBC has to wrangle rights from Warner Brothers to release this stuff, they need to put a little more though into the design instead of just having their summer interns come up with something. Maybe they could have a fan contest and pick the top three ideas for new items?

    • Ernie Davis says:

I like that idea. Have a few frames of the show made into an active picture where you could click on the mini-keg system that Heineken placed in Awesome and Ellie’s party and link it to the Amazon page for that product. Even if people didn’t buy just the traffic could be measured so the advertisers could see how much traffic was generated.

  3. Ernie Davis says:

I think one thing that has been done cleverly, IMHO, is the Subway product placement. It is so over the top it becomes an inside joke, and I think the fans actually like it. We certainly seem to have a positive view towards Subway.

Of course it gets tough to think of a lot more sponsors like that. Chuck and Morgan already do the games. Toyota does the Nerd Herders. Smith & Wesson for Casey? Shun knives for Sarah? I don’t think there’d be a beer that would want to be associated with Jeff…

    • weaselone says:

That’s perfect. Blackmail beer makers. Give us cash, or else you’re going to be Jeff’s beer of choice. Throw in a little extra and you can select or next target for a shakedown.

Fans spreading the word always helps.

      They could say:

#1 House Fan. Don’t like my driving, watch Chuck.

      • Chuck fan in Finland says:

Hey that’s a GREAT idea! In Helsinki, if you drive around there one day about 100 000 people will have seen the car and then also the stickers (this has been tested) – One drive in somewhere in the US and who knows how many ppl will see the Chuck stickers!

Now that I think about it, every Chuckster in the states should have Chuck stickers on their cars (please?)! This would be an AWESOME way to promote the show 😀

        What do you guys think?

  5. joe says:

    Ernie,
“I’m having an odd reaction to Chuck vs The Honeymooners. I don’t feel like writing about it. I just want to marinate in the wonderfulness of the episode”

The first lines I wrote for my next post were “This is not a review. I don’t want to write one because I don’t want to break the spell.”

One of us owes the other copyright!

    • Ernie Davis says:

I think we need to decide who gets to use our brain on a particular day!

    • Ernie Davis says:

Come to think of it whoever would have thought an episode of Chuck could leave BOTH of US with nothing to say!

    • ChuckNewbie8 says:

I Have plenty to say. Are you asking me to be a hero? Ha

except to do that I would need to 1. Forsake other things I really need to do (what else is new 😉 ) 2. There might be a few too many squees. 3. Controversial. Haha. I’ll just leave it to the pros 😉

      • Ernie Davis says:

        Yes, the “pros” …

Joe: Hey, uh you remember that scene where they punched Casey in the face together?

Ernie: Yeah, that was cool. Hey, you know what else was cool, when they were fighting, but they were really dancing?

Joe: Yeah, that was cool too.

      • Jen says:

U know what, i would love to read a Jem review of Honeymooners… w all the squeeing in it!

      • Ernie Davis says:

That was kind of my point…

      • joe says:

Jem, I can only squee so many times before my wife complains that I hurt her ears!

  6. Jason says:

I would suggest that some powerful chuck internet presence pick an NBC show that all chuck fans will watch next week. If chuck fans could show NBC what a strong influence they can be on real viewing numbers and on the network itself, might be enough to push NBC over the edge – Everyone watch 30 rock next week for example?

  7. The Shrink says:

Call me a killjoy but i did my saving last year. I think if Season 3 was better at the beginning then Chuck would not have been in this mess. While I love the route the show has taken i still can not forget the first part of the season. What will stop the writing for pulling the same stuff next year. TPTB treats the fans like crap and then pushes the panic button when their substandard writing kills the ratings.

    • Rick Holy says:

You know, I think there are a number of folks who feel the same way – and that feeling is certainly legitimate.

However, I know that I screw up on a fairly regular basis. I know that I don’t treat people – even the people who love me – like I should from time to time. So…. I “give one” to TPTB, and as much as I disliked a good portion of this season, as much as I felt like there was a golden opportunity to “grow the show” that got blown with “Pink Slip” being the introduction to the show for a number of new viewers, and as much as I feel like we’re “on the bubble” again because of it, I still pull for the show because it seems like it’s FINALLY this season BECOMING what it should be. And that’s not just the Chuck and Sarah being together apsect, but the fact that it’s FUN again to watch! (And I need all the fun I can get, believe me!).

So I see your point – and I don’t disagree with it – but I’m going forward. But back to the question of this thread – what would I do to SAVE the show? Nothing that I’m not already doing – like watching it, buying the DVDs, and telling other people to watch it. (And eating Subway while I’m watching it). I’ve shown my loyalty to this freakin’ TV show in a way that I’ve NEVER done with any TV show before.

It’s time for the baby to stand up on it’s own two feet. If WE have to keep “saving it,” then maybe it doesn’t warrant being saved. Yep, I said it – and I’m a Chuckaholic.

  8. atcdave says:

Like you Ernie, I don’t feel like saying as much on this one. But what I have felt like, is showing the episode to everyone who was or might be a Chuck fan. All of our ideas will fail if we can’t show something acceptable ratings wise. I know its cliche, I myself have even said it many times, but we MUST get viewers. Honeymooners was a wonderful episode to just show people, especially those we may know who got discouraged and left during this last season. It combines the best aspects Chuck ever had, with the aspects we always wanted it to have; this is a sure winner for anyone who ever liked the show. 45 minutes is not that long a commitment to ask of anyone, just show the episode to friends or family who have any inclination to sit still for less than an hour!

    • joe says:

Now THAT is a great idea, Dave.

Let the show speak for itself. All we have to do is continue to lead these particular horses to that particular water.

  9. BDaddyDL says:

My first thought is somone who has programming knowledge and make a I phone Android app that costs money to help the show. One of the features is an open question area to Schwartz and Fedak. Once a week they have to answer questions fans have. It could have clips and other links to also drive revenue.

    • Ernie Davis says:

This is the kind of thing I don’t know enough about, but sort of envisioned ad a possibility. Chuck fans seem to be better educated, more tech savy, and have a greater online presence than the average TV viewer. I would think that some sort of new-media tie in would play to those strengths. The flash-mobs is a perfect example, as is the use of Twitter.

One thing I thought of would be for us to pick a day for everyone to pre-order the S3 DVD and try to drive it to #1 on Amazon’s DVD sales before it even comes out! It made some waves when Chuck approached #1 on iTunes. Any time we can demonstrate a strong revenue stream I think it helps.

      • amyabn says:

Well, S3 is available for pre-order on Amazon. Say the word and I’ll put my order in (you know I am regardless, but it is a good idea!).

  10. ChuckNewbie8 says:

    Ok let’s try this again.

I’m not an innovator so the best I could come up with is find another corporate sponsor to pander to. Whether that means buying Microsoft (bleh) or whatnot I’m willing. But at this point is our question what will we do to save the how or extend the yearly commitment?

By most accounts Chuck is looking good. But I understand that some aren’t satisfied with that.

I do like the pay per idea. It’s a more direct iTunes service. If the Pres can be bank-rolled by the little people into presidency I don’t see why Chuck can’t.

  11. weaselone says:

    I’d eat a Klondike Bar!

Sorry, I’ve wanted to say that all day and the dam just broke. I know, I know. I’ve been horribly programmed by advertisers.

  12. Matt says:

I think another possible product-placement, if that would be the correct term would be a possible tie-in with the National Guard or Marines or possibly open a Marine-recruiting station in the strip-mall. They can even devote the B-story of an episode or two of Jeff and a few of the Buy-Morons trying to enlist. With Casey acting as their mentor, how could they not make it in (sarcasm!).

They spend money on advertising with commercials, with NASCAR, ev

  14. Mclovin says:

Chuck action figurines would be so cool. nerd herder by day spy by night! dress up sarah walker dolls for girls like for all the covers she’s played. knives not included!

  15. Josh says:

While most ideas posted are valid, in reality, the only thing that will “save” Chuck is ratings. So best things to do is to raise general Chuck awareness, get people to watch and that’s about it.

Product placement, at this point, mostly affects the bottom line of the show (ie the budget) not its renewal chances.

    • atcdave says:

I wonder though, budget wise, how much seperated Chuck from being a viable cable show? If the difference could be made up by some combination of sponsor and fan support; you’d think Chuck could do quite well on Sci-Fi (sorry, I can’t type that new silliness) or USA.

  16. Tinman says:

    Hey everyone!

First time posting here. I have been visiting this sit for a while now. I enjoy almost everything I read. Thanks.

I have been thinking about the question Ernie poses for a while. If TPTB are reading this post then what about trying to get Converse to make a ‘Chuck’ Chuck Taylor? They have a couple themed “Chuck’s” already. And I am guessing that if they(Converse) were to come out with say, a ‘Nerd Herd’ themed Chuck Taylor fans would buy them in a second. I know I would!! An it’s not like they don’t already feature them in the show.

Anyway, just a thought from a devoted chuck fan.

Keep up the good work on this blog!!

    • joe says:

Greetings, Tinmann. Glad to see you add a comment.

And that’s a good idea. I’d definitely consider buying a pair, and even wearing them to work on casual Friday, at least.

BTW, “Tinman” wouldn’t be from that ST/TNG episode, would it? Just curious.

      • Tinman says:

Unfortunately nothing so Sci Fi nerdy.
Right out of undergrad I was working at a theatre in MI. One of the other guys was into rap(hip hop) and decided he was going to form his own ‘gangsta’ rapper group. My initials are ALG so he called me ‘Alluminum G, the Tinman’. The nickname kind of stuck.

    • amyabn says:

Tinman, all, you can order custom converse shoes at their website:
      http://www.converse.com/?CSID=44_kwid/#/products/shoes/converseone/builder/chuTaySkiCVO1004,14326,,,

Someone a while back, over on the NBC board, showed of a pair of shoes they had made. I think it would be cool if the show and Converse hooked up to offer BuyMore, NerdHerd, and Orange Orange shoes. Fans could also do their own design too.

      • Tinman says:

        Thanks Amy,

Thats actually where i got the idea. I already designed a couple Nerd Herd custom
Chuck’s.(Without the Nerd Herd Icon of course).

Buy More, Nerd Herd, Orange Orange, not to mention a ‘Team Bartowski’ pair. I think we as fans have shown that we will pay for food to help this show. I think we would(many of us anyway would jump at the chance to pay for something more permanent if we thought it would help the show.

Plus, I; personally; think it would be pretty cool(Nerdy) to own a pair of ‘Chuck’ themed Chuck’s.

  17. Lee says:

Surprised no one has mentioned it on this board yet but, technology= easy product placement. The back story is set in an electronic store and it would be very easy to show sales pitches for INSERT NAME BRAND HERE. They could do it in a super easy way without having to detract from the show. Plus, considering the Chuck fandom, I would say we are technologically savvy so that kind of product placement would appeal to us. I know they already have some product placement (i.e. iPhones) but I don’t know if they are capitalizing on all the product placement in the show.

I don’t know about this one… but I would sure buy a Jeffster CD if they released one, if only purely for kicks and giggles.

Just some ideas I thought I might throw out.

    • joe says:

Not sure that a Jeffster CD is coming out, Lee. But Tim Jones IS coming out with a Chuck music CD. And I understand that he’s still looking for suggestions from the fans.

      • Lee says:

Haha… well one can hope for the Jeffster CD, I thought that was a less serious, kind of funny idea. ( A bit outside the box)

That is awesome that Tim Jones is coming out with a Chuck Music CD. (I won’t need it because I already have pretty much every song on Chuck). The music taste of Chuck fits mine pretty much perfectly. I would like to see what Tim Jones would put on the soundtracks (not the fans), maybe even Fedak and Schwartz (who is a music buff). But the one song that must be on it… is easy “Short Skirt, Long Jacket” by Cake, if you don’t put the theme song in the soundtrack… something is wrong.

I have actually started to make my own soundtracks for Seasons 1-3 consisting of about 10-15 songs each (about average for a CD length. Would be interesting to see TPTB’s soundtrack.

    Hi!Everyone
I’ve been reading this blog for a long time
Really enjoy what you guys writting abt the show,it’s superb!
But there’s a question , what should we do when we aren’t live in America?

I’m living in Taiwan and FYI there’s plenty of Chuck fans in our contury and we even have the club in China.
I really want to support Chuck as you guys do!

BTW Sorry about the poor English..

    • amyabn says:

Orbmagic, welcome! See my post below about the twitter effort on Monday. I know it will be sometime for you on Tuesday, but if you and your friends could help out, it would be great!

    • joe says:

      Orb, Welcome to the discussion!

Amy’s tweet-mob suggestion (below) is a great one. But you can expand on that, too.

Sadly, the number 1 thing is Neilsen ratings and “live” viewings of the show, both of which is narrowly tied to the US market. We all know that’s short sighted not particularly intelligent, but that’s what we have.

There’s one other thing, though. And that’s the fact that the audience is engaged. Both the sponsors and the network business people know that Chuck’s audience is incredibly active and supportive and BUYS STUFF! to support the show. We can always shout that fact to the rooftops.

Tweet on Monday, visit the NBC boards and the boards on ChuckTV.net and any Chuck sites like our that you can find and comment. Write to the sponsor’s web-sites and thank them for sponsoring Chuck.

If you can, play Bon Iver or Band of Horses or Nina Simone at work, and when somebody asks, tell them where you heard the music.

      That’s what we can do!

      • orbmagic says:

        Joe&Amybn thanks for advices.
I already post this active on our on club! Though in our location it’s about 2 A.M when the activity is going. But who cares! Support Chuck is much important!

I’ve been playing those songs everyday! Bon Iver is becoming my favortie band right now!

I even lend my Chuck DVD to most of my classmates about Chuck cuz it’s such a good show!

But anyway Chuck is the best!

  19. Crumby says:

I have a question about ratings. I may not have understood it well, but apparently some states like Oregon got a NBA game instead of Chuck on Monday. But I think I read somewhere that for those states Honeymooners will aired on Sunday between 3&4am something like that. So if I’m not mistaken about that, will the ratings of Sunday airing be add to the original Monday ratings considering that for those states it is the first diffusion?

Might not change anything anyway, I’m just curious.

    • atcdave says:

Crumby, I’m not an authority so this is just a guess; but first I would say the numbers probably will add to the total. Bad news is though, with such a lousey air time, the only numbers would likely be DVR views; which believe it or not, is still a minority of total viewers. I think its really only dedicated, tech-savy, viewers who will add to the total; and a lot of those have probably already watched the episode on NBC.com or iTunes.

We know not everyone can participate in the live flash mobs, but Chuck fans are an online force to be reckoned with, so we’ve come up with a way for virtually anyone to participate!

Fans across the country will rally on Monday, May 3, to show support for one of the most awesome shows on TV by staging flash mobs. If you can’t make the mob but want to participate and show the world (and NBC) just how much you love Chuck, please tweet out the following message on Monday between noon and 1pm (in your local time zone).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not “tweet” multiple times! Tweet once in support. This is not about spamming the community or cause a Twitter stoppage but about showing YOUR support for Chuck.

    Sample tweets:

@NBC – We want more #CHUCK! Give us another season of flashes and fun. The world’s safety depends on it! #FlashChuck

#CHUCK rules! @NBC show your love for CHUCK and the fans will show their love back. We want a 4th season! #FlashChuck

Note: If your server or Twitter is busy during this time, please keep trying. And don’t forget to join in the Chuck episode discussion later that night!

    • amyabn says:

Don’t forget to tweet today between 12-1 your time. I only use twitter for Chuck, so if you don’t have twitter-it’s free, it’s online, and it only takes a few minutes to set up.

It’s not what normal fans would do! Can YOU be awesome?

I am thinking a lot could be done with the music of Chuck to underwrite and promote the show. If, for example, you could buy the songs from a season as an iTunes album, and a part of what you are doing is underwriting, I think a lot of fans would do it – maybe $25 for the music for a season ($10 goes to iTunes, $15 goes to underwriting). Throw in some commentary from the group that picks the music to make it unique. Something probably could be done with college radio stations across the country to promote the show via the music.

my theory on viewing audience is viewership lags great episodes by a few weeks will be put to the test tonight. The timing of 3.13 vs 3.14 had to hurt momentum a bit, but tonight has the benefit of a great lead in to what appears to be a fun episode. I am going to predict 2.3/2.4 for tonight & 2.4/2.5 for next week which will pave the way for renewal.

    • joe says:

I think you’re quite right ’bout that, Jason. What’s on across from Chuck tonight? A new House, a new DWTS and a new HIMYM? If Chuck gets good numbers regardless, it’ll bode well.

    Hi anyone,

your time zones are a little bit confusing. mel said for the twitter-mob today at noon-1 we international viewers should use the world clock: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

no problem, but which city??? is washington dc 12 o clock OK???

    • amyabn says:

Mel said to do it in your time zone. I guess it doesn’t matter-just shoot one tweet. They don’t want to crash servers or anything-just try to guage how many people love Chuck. Vielen dank!

    • joe says:

And don’t forget that even if you don’t live in those cities (Chicago, San Diego, Seattle or Philadelphia) or are at work, you can still participate.

Just tweet your support for Chuck between the hours of noon and 1 pm LOCAL TIME to NBC. Mel at ChuckTV.net suggests the following:
@NBC – We want more #CHUCK! Give us another season of flashes and fun. The world’s safety depends on it! #FlashChuck

#CHUCK rules! @NBC show your love for CHUCK and the fans will show their love back. We want a 4th season! #FlashChuck

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do not “tweet” multiple times! Tweet once in support. This is not about spamming the community or cause a Twitter stoppage but about showing YOUR support for Chuck.

We don’t want to crash NBC’s servers!

  24. Crumby says:

NBC apparently picked up J.J. Abrams’ “Undercovers”.

    http://livefeed.hollywoodreporter.com/2010/05/nbc-abrams-undercovers-.html

Is it bad news for Chuck?

    • atcdave says:

I’m still hoping for a “spy night” with both shows on.

    • drosejr says:

Based on the brief description in that article, Undercovers sounds to me like it’s Chuck Season 10. Not a great omen for Chuck (pirating potential arcs), but maybe NBC will split the two series up so they don’t tread on each other.

    • JC says:

This probably hurts in Chuck getting a full season but another 13 episode order wouldn’t surprise me.

    • ChuckNewbie8 says:

      1. Was there ever any doubt? haha.

      2. Hmm. I like the concept but I think where Chuck gets the edge is the chemistry. I’ve seen a couple of publicity photos and I’m not getting the flash pull that the first time I saw Chuck photos did.

      3. I think a spy night would rock. I’m thinking depending on how much they like it though they’d pair it with one of the more solid shows rather than us which us mostly solid but only with our already established fanbase.
