Season 4 Discs

Just a quick news flash for those keeping score at home.  Amazon has finally posted a release date for the S4 discs of Chuck; September 6th of this year.  That is for both DVD and Blu-Ray.

This is good!  We’ll have over a month to dissect the special features before we get distracted by any pesky new episodes.

    Awesome news Dave!

By then we’ll be chomping at the bit for all the deleted scenes. 🙂

Dave, thanks for the heads up. And let’s hope that this time around there are deleted scenes on the discs that make us go “Dammit!! That scene is so awesome, why the heck did they delete it” – a far cry from last year – when a lot of deleted scenes made us go ” Thank God!! So and so scene was deleted – only added to the misery. 😉 🙂

Yeah Alladins, I think the different mood of this season will affect all aspects. Can’t wait to see what didn’t make the cut!

Here’s the press release if anyone wants to read it

It lists a few (maybe all?) of the extras that are going to be included.

    • Faith says:

Thanks for that luckygirl. I’m wondering if the Jeffster webisode they’re talking about is the one they showed before the season.

One interesting tidbit there; under enhanced material it says “110 min SD/143 min BD.” I’m not certain what that means, but my first guess would be that there may be 33 minutes more material on the Blu-Rays than what will be on the DVDs. If so, it will be the first time they have included extra material on the Blu-Rays. Given the price premium we pay for those discs, and the very marginal quality increase (especially compared to an up converting DVD player), its about time!

It might be the chuckapedia Dave:

Blu-ray Exclusive – The Top Secret Chuckapedia Interactive Experience

I’m chomping at the bit already.

Yeah that’s intriguing. 33 minutes sounds like a lot of material for something like that, maybe it includes a lot of clips???
