5 straight fun-rific eps! No complaints. Chuck and Sarah were great. In couch lock even Jeff, Lester and Morgan are tolerable for me.

  2. authorguy says:

Morgan’s scenes were the best part of this ep. Antagonizing Casey out of his stupor, and then sacrificing himself for the team. Kind of obvious but fun to watch anyway. Jeff and Lester had some good scenes too. “I know that dumpster!”
Less than thrilled with the portrayal of Alex as a clueless idiot, and the whole adventure suffered from a complete lack of motivation. Chuck flashes on a random picture and whips up this whole scenario. Nothing really links this episode to any part of the arc.
And just how did those three manage to get C&S from Burbank to Iran without either of our heroes managing to outfight or outthink them? That’s the sort of abrupt and unexplained translocation that plagues this entire season. Trips around the world during which they must say and/or do nothing with or to each other, since the conversations and situations pick up right where they left off. Very sloppy writing.

We’ll be seeing Dave Bautista in a big role pretty soon….

    • atcDave says:

Is Spectre bigger than Guardians of the Galaxy?

      No doubt he’s done well!

      • anthropocene says:

That’s right, I forgot about that. I should have said “big role again!” Of course, to me personally, nothing’s bigger than a Bond movie. (Except maybe a Chuck movie.)

      • atcDave says:

I’ll definitely be excited to see it. It is funny though, he’s one f the last guest stars I would have expected to do so well. But he really was terrific in Guardians.

And of course, this all just wasting time until that Chuck movie comes along…

  4. I’ve come here to gripe about the staff over at FF.net; the counter that records story traffic has been idle since Monday-when i happen to post a new chapter-since i use this as a basis for when to start writing the next chapter it is EXTREMELY irritating…worse still is they ignore everyone’s complaints…

Anyway I love this episode and Casey is the reason as well as Morgan; the ending is icing on the cake…my favorite part is how Morgan gets rid of Casey’s couch lock!

    • atcDave says:

Sorry to hear that Josh, I can assure you it got some traffic!

Yeah I love how Morgan wakes up Casey, especially how he sort of gulps first. He knows it’s going to hurt…

    • authorguy says:

Why would you determine when to start a chapter using FF.net? I watch the stats too, they’re more useful to me than the reviews since I get so few reviews anymore, but I couldn’t imagine writing for any other reason than I had more of the story to tell.

      • I just meant that rather loosely…mostly i miss seeing the counter go up:( I usually take about 3 days between writing chapters regardless of traffic; I’ve written 12 chapters and am still going so having more story to tell hasn’t been an issue as of yet and i’ve been writing for a year so i’ve been lucky.

I take a day off, maybe two, catch up on Alias or Archer, whatever, then I watch the next part of whatever episode I’m rewriting so I can think about it. Most of any chapter gets written over the weekend before I post it, especially if I post on a Tuesday.

Finally, some time for my indulgence. Sorry I’m late but that darned job keeps interfering.

For me, the “Casey” episodes come in two tiers. Tier 1 is Undercover Lover Tic Tac and Couch Lock. The lower tier is Kept Man and Sensei in that order. If tortured I’d probably say UL is my favorite. None made my top ten (29) but the top tier came really close.

This one is really a funny episode. Sarah joking around, Casey as a Stormtrooper, “fakeadeathanol”, “I’ve got some bills to pay”. Lots of good stuff here. Normallly, not a Jeffster fan but they were good here. Probably along with Subway, FoD and Bo were the only times they seemed OK since they became a musical item. (Yes Bo is in my dud list, but Jeffster and Sarah’s retirement were the only good parts)

    • atcDave says:

I agree almost exactly with all of that. Although I would put this and
UL on that top tier. So much of this episode is just flat out funny. Nothing important happens, but a good time all around.
