Season 3.0 Spoiler Page (Epis 1-13)

Avast, Mates! Thar Be Spoilers!

Here be the permanent home of our spoilers, sorted by episode. Careful, lest they eat you alive and spit out your soul!

This will be a work in progress. There is a lot of interest among our dear treasured readers on spoilers and speculation, so we’re starting a post to put them into one place. The present plan is to gather them as we can and modify the main body of the post to include them and our take on them. So through the magic of WordPress, and our new e-mail address, chuckthisblog(at)gmail(dot)com we’re going to make this a group effort. Rather than have everyone post spoilers in the comments section we’d like to ask that you e-mail us if you want to add one. We can then sort through and make sure we don’t flood the comments section with dozens of similar or related spoilers or the same spoiler from different sites. We can save the comments section for our wild speculations about what the spoilers mean. It goes without saying but we’ll say it anyway. Don’t read past the jump if you don’t want to be spoiled.

Folks feel free to comment away while we work out the kinks and get this post squared away. There is a lot involved in putting this together, and we’re all doing this in our spare time. There will be some discussion among us as we decide how to adapt and grow to try to meet the needs or you, our readers. Your patience is appreciated.

Ernie

I’ll start us off. This will hopefully be modified with links and pictures as we go along, maybe even clips of video (my we are getting so nerdy). But for starters here are the things I, and most of us, already know will happen in the next episodes. There will be a list of known spoilers with links at the end of this post if you don’t care about what I think they mean and just want to get the scoop.

Amy

Joe

And I’ll continue.
Ausiello and MoRyan are great sources, and not guaranteed to not spoil us. In all honesty, I consider Magnus to be even more sensitive to spoilage than Ausiello (and nearly as sensitive. as Maureen). TV Guide is also a place that I’ll be scrounging for information.

This is not a spoiler, but it deserves attention. NBC Bigwig Angela Bromsted probably doesn’t know any more than we do about what’s happening between Chuck & Sarah – that’s the job of her man-servant’s maid-servant. She *does* know a thing or two about the show’s chances for survival, however, ’cause she’s an NBC bigwig. From THR Feed.

THR: “Chuck” — a bit surprising on Mondays?

Bromstad: Pleasant surprise, and they’re doing great work.

THR: So fans presumably won’t have to buy Subway sandwiches again this year?

Bromstad: Well, it’s got to maintain, and it depends on development.

Does she mean developments in the story, or ratings, or developments with sponsors or even fan support? The shadow knows. Not I!

Spoilers

3.09 Chuck Versus The Beard

Synopsis:
Chuck can’t flash, gets benched. Morgan finds out Chuck is a spy.

Promo:
Here’s some of the missing clips, formally on EPK. There IS no restart from last checkpoint! – Mar. 7
30 seconds from Toronto’s City TV – added Mar. 6.
Formally massively spoilerish clips here.

Comments:
Ausiello shows us that all is soon – well, if not exactly honky-dory – much better with Chuck & Sarah.

Question: I kept reading about this Chuck guy from your spoilers, so I checked out Chuck and now I’m obsessed. Please give me some scoop. This really is your fault after all! —Heather
Ausiello:
I’m more than happy to take the blame! On the scoop front, look for a major reveal — actually, make that three major reveals — about Casey in the March 15 episode. The following week, Chuck and Sarah go out on a stakate (that’s a mash-up of stakeout and date), and someone adjusts to a brand new way of life.

3.10 Chuck Versus the Tic Tac

Writers:

Director:

Guest Stars:  Robert Patrick as Col. Keller

Spoilers:

From Televisionary:  Casey carries out a side mission for his old commanding officer James Keller that leads to him committing treason. When Chuck learns the dark truth about Col. Keller, he and Sarah set out to break Casey out of jail and clear his name. Meanwhile, Awesome’s plan to keep Ellie out of danger gets more difficult when she gets her dream fellowship.

Also from Televisionary on the pre-screeners: Additionally, several of these episodes deal with our favorite spies’ backstories. Both Sarah and Colonel Casey (in “Chuck Versus the Tic Tac,” guest starring Robert Patrick) get some very revealing subplots that fill in the gaps in their characters’ respective histories and prove to be very, very illuminating, while the stakes are raised for a few series regulars as well. Look for several familiar faces to make some potentially life-altering decisions in this block of episodes. (That’s all I’ll say on the subject.)

From Chuck vs. The Podcast episode 43, Casey has a daughter, named Alex (after his code name, which caused Chuck to flash in The Fake Name.

Synopsis:

Chuck AND Sarah MUST CLEAR Casey’S GOOD NAME- ROBERT PATRICK (”Terminator 2: Judgment Day”) GUEST STARS –Casey (Adam Baldwin) carries out a side mission for his old commanding officer James Keller (guest star Robert Patrick) that leads to him committing treason. When Chuck (Zachary Levi) learns the dark truth about Col. Keller, he and Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) set out to break Casey out of jail and clear his name. Meanwhile, Awesome’s (Ryan McPartlin) plan to keep Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) out of danger gets more difficult when she gets her dream fellowship. Joshua Gomez also stars.

Comments:
This has no episode specifically associated with it, but I’m guessing it belongs here. Mickey O’Connor at TV Guide’s Mega Buzz says:

MICKEY: Four characters will contemplate leaving Burbank, and two of them will actually go through with it. Does leaving Burbank mean leaving the show? Not necessarily, given the show’s globe-trotting ways.

My speculation is that one not actually going through with it is Casey. (- joe)

3.11 Chuck Versus the Final Exam

Writers:  Zev Borow

Director:  Robert Duncan McNeil

Guest Stars:

Spoilers:

From Televisionary: And there’s also a pivotal metaphorical crossroads for Mr. Bartowski himself, one that could change the landscape of the series as the season goes on. I can’t say more without spoiling what is a fantastic episode (“Chuck Versus the Final Exam”), which has some extreme consequences for Chuck as well for as the team itself. (One hint: a sauna, a towel, and a sharp breeze play a role, as does a surprising but emotionally powerful twist.)

From Fancast:‘Chuck’ seems to be starting to get his mojo back. But as Morgan pointed out in “Chuck vs. The Beard,” there’s one thing missing from Chuck’s life – Sarah. So I ask you: Will we see Chuck make a play to win back the woman he loves? – Mike

Let’s just say that in next week’s episode, Chuck brings up with Sarah that fateful train station rendezvous in Prague. Cue waterworks.

Is ‘Chuck’ writing out Awesome and Ellie? I hope not. – Alicia_Marie76 via Twitter

That’s what the show had me thinking, too – then again, I’m also the patsy who believed Awesome had been killed off at the end of this season’s third episode. Next week, Ellie ponders her hubby’s’s Doctors Without Borders plan. The decision she makes might not help your anxiety.

Synopsis:

CHUCK’S FATE AS A SPY RESTS ON A SINGLE MISSION-BRANDON ROUTH (”SUPERMAN RETURNS”) GUEST STARS-Chuck (Zachary Levi) learns that his latest solo mission will be a final test to see if he is ready to be a spy. Chuck needs to put everything he has learned into action to avoid going back to his old life while Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Shaw (guest star Brandon Routh) observe his every move. Adam Baldwin, Joshua Gomez, Ryan McPartlin, Scott Krinsky, Vik Sahay and Mark Christopher Lawrence also star.

3.12 Chuck Versus the American Hero

Director: Jeremiah Chechik

Guest Stars:

From the episode director’s twitter a snapshot of a greenscreen shot.  Let me know if you can figure that one out.

Synopsis:
Casey, Morgan and Awesome try to help Chuck win Sarah back.

Comments:

Casey? Interesting!

3.13 Chuck Versus the Other Guy

Writers:

Director:

Guest Stars:

Spoilers: From a French blog about working with Chuck visual effects supervisor Dan Curry.  A either Google or Babelfish can translate the page to an extent, but a translation was provided on the NBC Chuck boards and posted here by Faith.   It Follows:

“Let me pass on some larger spoilers, even if I try to play Josh Schwartz, in that I mean I’ll give you the information. But I will put a twist on it. And in order to not waste your time by describing the show plan by plan as it will occur or even being precise about the information but rather by giving you a taste of what you will discover in this incredible episode (and more which occurs in the local area! ****-a-doodle-doo!) :

– Paris is a city which finally does well for the whole Charah thing ^^.

– In this episode, Chuck will do one of the most important things of his life. Something he has waited for, for a long time and which risks turing his life upside down forever.

– It will be the last episode of Shaw this season but Chuck and Shaw will remain connected.

– Sarah will shed a tear because of Shaw.

– The flashes will not be had by just Chuck, Sarah will also have some in this episode

Important note: As I mentioned above, I purposely “play” on the words with the spoilers. I say some without saying too much of it and when I say things that are the truth like “Sarah will have flashes” it is up to you how to interpret as you want, but think of the famous spoilers of Josh on ep 2×22: “there will be two marriages”.

Hope that clears things up a little bit”

Also found on the same blog are some VERY revealing shooting schedules, but they deal with 3.14 and 3.15.

Synopsis:

From MSN:  Chuck questions Shaw’s emotional stability after they find the Ring operative behind the death of Shaw’s wife; Morgan considers leaving the Buy More.
